Ingredients

  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 pt. light cream
  • 1 1/2 oz. container oysters
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • dash cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat milk and light cream together until a film shimmers over the surface. Do not boil.
  2. In a separate pan, precook oysters and drain.
  3. Add oysters (slice if preferred) and butter to the hot milk and cream mixture.
  4. Heat the mixture for 5 minutes more, do not boil.
  5. Add cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to taste, then serve at once.
