Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick melted margarine
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix together the yellow cake mix, melted margarine, and beaten egg.
  2. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes.
  3. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  4. In the meantime, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cake.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes if needed, or until set.
  7. Let it cool, then cut into squares.
  8. These squares freeze well for later enjoyment.
