Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread, thawed in refrigerator overnight
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large box vanilla pudding (not instant)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Butter a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Break 1 loaf of bread into pieces and cover the bottom of the pan.
  3. Add raisins and/or nuts, if desired.
  4. Melt the margarine.
  5. Add brown sugar, vanilla pudding, milk, and cinnamon. Mix until dissolved.
  6. Pour the mixture over the broken pieces of bread.
  7. Break the second loaf of bread over the first layer.
  8. Let the assembled buns rise for about 3 hours or until above the pan.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  10. Remove from the pan immediately and turn upside down to serve.
