Ingredients

  • 1 large bunch broccoli
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 or 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut broccoli florets off the tops of the stalks.
  2. Cut stalks into 1/2-inch pieces.
  3. Wash and drain the broccoli.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add oil to the skillet.
  6. When the oil is hot, add crushed garlic and cook for a few minutes, being careful not to burn.
  7. Add broccoli to the skillet and toss with a wooden spoon until coated with oil and the broccoli turns bright green.
  8. Pour chicken broth over the broccoli and cover the pan.
  9. Cook until the vegetables are crisp-tender, but not overcooked.
