Brazilian Beef Stroganoff features tender sliced beef in a rich, savory sauce with ketchup and evaporated milk, perfect for comforting family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sliced beef
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 3/4 c. ketchup

Instructions

  1. Saute diced onions in butter or margarine with minced garlic.
  2. Add sliced beef and fry until browned; set aside.
  3. Prepare the sauce by combining Worcestershire sauce with 1 cup water.
  4. Add the beef to the sauce and cook, stirring frequently.
  5. Add another cup of water as needed during cooking.
  6. Stir in ketchup and bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook.
  8. Add evaporated milk, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.
