Tips & Substitutions
For a richer flavor, consider marinating the stewing beef in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder for a few hours before cooking. You can substitute the sour cream with Greek yogurt for a lighter version or opt for a dairy-free cream for a vegan alternative. If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can add a cornstarch slurry towards the end of cooking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different type of meat for this stroganoff?
Yes, you can substitute the stewing beef with chicken, pork, or even mushrooms for a vegetarian option. Just adjust the cooking time accordingly, as chicken and pork will cook faster than beef.
How can I make this dish spicier?
To add heat, consider incorporating a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes when adding the other seasonings. You can also serve it with a spicy condiment on the side, like hot sauce.
Is there a way to make this dish gluten-free?
Absolutely! Use gluten-free soy sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce, and ensure your mushroom soup is gluten-free. Pair it with gluten-free noodles or rice for a complete meal.
