Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh fruit
  • 1 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Put the fresh fruit, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a greased baking dish; dot with butter.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and an egg to form a batter.
  3. Spread the batter over the top of the fruit.
  4. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes, or until the fruit bubbles.
  5. Uncover and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with topping, custard, or ice cream.
