Ingredients

  • bacon
  • 1 lb. round steak
  • 3 medium onions
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 8 oz. canned mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Cut round steak into thin strips across the grain.
  2. Cut onions, carrots, and potatoes into thick slices.
  3. Prepare an electric skillet with a lid.
  4. Cover the skillet bottom with bacon slices.
  5. Layer the sliced meat over the bacon.
  6. Add layers of onions, carrots, peppers, and mushrooms.
  7. Place the sliced potatoes on top.
  8. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  9. Cook on high heat for 3 minutes.
  10. Add cold water to the skillet and cover with lid.
  11. Reduce heat to low and cook for 45 minutes.
