Ingredients

  • bread loaf
  • sour cream
  • sesame seeds
  • Parmesan cheese
  • artichoke hearts
  • cheese (Jack cheese)
  • head of garlic
  • parsley
  • lemon-pepper seasoning
  • butter

Instructions

  1. Cut the loaf in half lengthwise and tear out the soft center of the bread, leaving the crust intact.
  2. Place the crust shells on foil-covered cookie sheets.
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and sesame seeds; cook for 1 to 2 minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  5. Add bread chunks to the skillet and cook until golden brown and the butter has been absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  7. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon-pepper seasoning, and Jack cheese.
  8. Stir in artichoke hearts, toasted bread with garlic butter, and sesame seeds.
  9. Mix well and spoon the mixture back into the bread shells.
  10. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
  12. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
