- Remove seeds from the sweet peppers and drop peppers into boiling water for 5 minutes; drain.

- Place the filled peppers in a large pot with a lid and pour ketchup over the top.
- Add 1/2 cup of tomato juice to the pot.
- Cover and cook in an oven at 350°F for 2 hours.
- Uncover and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
