Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 lb. head cabbage
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup Minute rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the core from the cabbage and hollow out the center to create a shell.
  2. Combine ground beef, tomato sauce, rice, egg, dry onion soup mix, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Mix the ingredients well until combined.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the cabbage shell and place it in a 1 1/2-quart glass baking dish.
  5. Microwave, tightly covered, on High for 17 minutes, turning after 9 minutes.
  6. Let the stuffed cabbage stand for 10 minutes before serving.
