Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 to 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar together until smooth.
  2. Sift together the flour and salt, then add to the creamed mixture and blend well.
  3. Stir in vanilla and chopped pecans.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly golden.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  7. Roll the warm balls in powdered sugar until coated.
