Sugar-Pecan Crisps

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light.
  2. Beat in egg, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Gradually stir in flour.
  4. Shape dough into 2 rolls, each about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and 6 inches long.
  5. Roll each in 1/4 cup of the pecans to coat outside.
  6. Wrap in waxed paper and chill thoroughly.
