Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 oz Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and 2 tablespoons sugar together.
  2. Fold in sifted flour to form the crust mixture.
  3. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes until golden.
  5. Let the crust cool completely.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  7. Add 1 cup sugar and mix well.
  8. Fold in the Cool Whip until evenly combined.
  9. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  10. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator before serving.
