Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 7 oz Sun-Drop cola
  • 5 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Gradually add flour and mix well.
  4. Add Sun-Drop cola and beat until combined.
  5. Pour batter into a prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325°F until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.
