- Preheat the oven and prepare a 3-quart casserole dish or two 11-inch casseroles.
- Layer half of the bread cubes in the casserole dish.
- Add half of the browned and drained sausage on top of the bread.
- Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the sausage.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining bread, sausage, and cheese.
- In a bowl, combine the mushroom soup, milk, beaten eggs, salt, and dry mustard to make the sauce.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the layered ingredients in the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
