Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sweet milk
  • 3 cups grated Irish potatoes
  • 1 medium onion

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add slightly beaten eggs, sweet milk, grated Irish potatoes, and chopped onion; stir until well combined.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil in an electric frypan at 375°F.
  4. Cook until brown on one side, then turn and cook until golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with sour cream or catsup.
