Super Skillet Nachos combine seasoned ground beef, beans, fresh vegetables, and melted cheese, topped with sour cream and crunchy chips for a flavorful, crowd-pleasing appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 c. Picante sauce
  • 1 (15 oz.) can pinto or black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 c. sliced black olives
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 to 1 c. sour cream
  • tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onions; drain the liquid.
  2. Add 2 cups of picante sauce, rinsed and drained beans, and chili powder; bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped tomato and sliced black olives.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Spoon sour cream onto the center of the meat mixture.
  7. Place a row of tortilla chips around the edge of the skillet and serve immediately with additional chips and picante sauce.
