Ingredients

  • 2 lb. link sausage
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can peas
  • 1/4 lb. sharp cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. grated onion
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 pkg. long spaghetti

Instructions

  1. Place sausage links and water in a cold frying pan.
  2. Cover and brown slowly over medium heat.
  3. When sausage browns, remove from pan.
  4. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of fat from the pan.
  5. Add tomatoes and grated onion; simmer until onions are tender.
  6. Put sausage links into the tomato mixture to reheat.
  7. Arrange a ring of peas around the edge of a casserole dish.
  8. Place the sausage and tomato sauce mixture in the center of the dish.
  9. Cover the peas with cooked spaghetti.
  10. Sprinkle grated cheese over the spaghetti.
  11. Place under the broiler until cheese has melted and browned slightly.
