Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda, dissolved in buttermilk
  • 2/3 c. corn meal
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Melt 1/2 stick margarine in iron skillet.
  2. Pour into above mixture; cook in iron skillet at 400° for about 30 minutes.
