Ingredients

  • 2 sticks real butter
  • 1 cup oil
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3.5 cups Swans cake flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons lemon extract

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter until smooth.
  2. Add the cream cheese and beat until well combined.
  3. Add oil and continue beating.
  4. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating after each addition.
  5. Beat the mixture thoroughly.
  6. Add 2 eggs and beat well.
  7. Add 1 cup of flour and beat.
  8. Add 2 more eggs and beat.
  9. Add 1 cup of cake flour and beat.
  10. Add 2 more eggs and beat.
  11. Add 1 cup of flour, then add 1/2 cup flour and vanilla extract, and beat.
  12. Mix in other flavoring as desired.
  13. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  14. Do not preheat the oven before baking.
