Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups thinly sliced apples
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix the beaten egg and sugar together in a bowl.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, vanilla, sliced apples, chopped nuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the mixture, one ingredient at a time, stirring well after each addition.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased pie tin.
  4. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
