Sweet Apple Pizza

Ingredients

  • 8 oz prepared pizza dough
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup, plus additional to serve
  • 4 None Fuji apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp demerara sugar or packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • None None Vanilla ice cream, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough to fit a 12-inch pizza pan. Brush the pan with melted butter and place the pizza dough on top.
  2. Brush the dough with maple syrup. Arrange the sliced apples in concentric circles, overlapping the slices, on the dough. Sprinkle with demerara sugar.
  3. Bake for 20 mins. Sprinkle pizza with almonds and return to the oven for 5 mins, or until the apples are golden and the crust is cooked. Slice and serve with ice cream and additional maple syrup.
