Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 packages Pillsbury date bread mix
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 12 to 13 ounces candied cherries
  • 1 cup candied pineapple
  • corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour the bottom and sides of a 12-cup fluted tube pan or a 10-inch tube pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the eggs and water.
  4. Add the Pillsbury date bread mix, pecans, raisins, candied cherries, and candied pineapple.
  5. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 75 to 85 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake for 30 minutes before removing from the pan.
