A rich, sweet snack combining crispy rice, peanut butter, and chocolate with a chewy texture, perfect for satisfying cravings and sharing at parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup light Karo syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 16 oz. package chocolate chips
  • 16 oz. package butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Bring the light brown sugar and light Karo syrup to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add the peanut butter to the boiling mixture and stir until smooth.
  3. Pour the hot mixture over the Rice Krispies and mix well until evenly coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan and let it cool slightly.
  5. In a separate bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together until smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate and butterscotch mixture over the cooled rice Krispies mixture in the pan.
  7. Allow to set before cutting into squares and serving.
