Ingredients

  • 3 lb. fresh green beans
  • 2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 (13 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef stew meat halfway in butter.
  2. Add sliced onions and brown with the meat.
  3. Add salt, pepper, and cut green beans.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours until the meat is tender.
  5. Serve hot over buttered rice.
