Ingredients

  • 2 cans refried beans
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 jar salsa

Instructions

  1. Put the refried beans in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Brown the ground beef with onion and garlic.
  3. Drain the beef and spread it over the beans in the pan.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat.
  5. Pour salsa on top of the cheese.
  6. Bake at 350°F until hot and the cheese melts.
  7. While baking, cut lettuce and tomatoes.
  8. Top the casserole with lettuce and tomatoes, and add sour cream if desired.
  9. Serve with tortilla chips.
