Ingredients

  • 1 small onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 (5 oz.) pkg. noodles
  • 2 Tbsp. Wesson oil
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (15 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 (15 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Chop onion and pepper; saute in oil until tender.
  2. Add meat; stir and cook until browned.
  3. In large bowl, place mushrooms, tomatoes, corn and 1/2 of cheese.
  4. Cook noodles in salted water until tender; drain.
  5. Add to mixture in bowl.
  6. Add meat mixture; blend well.
  7. Pour in greased 3-quart casserole dish.
  8. Let stand 12 to 24 hours.
  9. Cover and bake at 400° for 45 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes longer. Serves 6 to 8.
