Ingredients

  • 9 cups romaine lettuce, broken into small pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups bread croutons
  • 2 garlic cloves, cut very fine
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons Wish-Bone Italian dressing
  • 3 tablespoons Catalina salad dressing
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 eggs, coddled 1 minute
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 medium size can grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine olive oil and finely chopped garlic cloves in a small bowl.
  2. Allow this mixture to stand for 4 hours, stirring occasionally, then remove and discard the garlic.
  3. Arrange romaine lettuce and bread croutons in a salad bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the garlic-olive oil mixture, Wish-Bone Italian dressing, Catalina salad dressing, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, coddled eggs, and freshly ground pepper; stir briskly.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well while mixing in the grated Parmesan cheese.
