Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 6 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Blend shortening and vanilla until well combined.
  2. Add 4 tablespoons sugar and cream until fluffy.
  3. Gradually add flour and nuts, stirring until the mixture is well blended.
  4. Shape the dough into 1 1/2 inch long rolls.
  5. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 30 minutes.
  6. While hot, roll the puffs in powdered sugar.
