Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, syrup, and salt in a 2-quart Pyrex dish. Microwave on High for 4 1/2 minutes.
  2. Stir in peanuts. Microwave on High for 2 1/2 minutes.
  3. Stir the mixture. Microwave for 1 more minute.
  4. Stir in vanilla, margarine, and baking soda and beat until light and foamy.
  5. Spread on a buttered cookie sheet.
  6. When cool, break into pieces.
