Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 Tbsp. pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, salt, and flour in a bowl.
  2. Add softened butter and cream the mixture well.
  3. Beat in the eggs until smooth.
  4. Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla extract until well blended.
  5. Pour the filling into a prepared pie shell.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 50 minutes, until the pie is slightly less than firm but will set as it cools.
  7. Cool completely before cutting and serving.
