Ingredients

  • 1 large chuck roast
  • 6 to 8 large carrots
  • 1 medium onion
  • 6 to 8 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 to 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 package McCormick beef stew mix
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the chuck roast until tender.
  2. Add plenty of water and cook the vegetables until tender.
  3. Add the beef stew mix and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Serve hot with crackers or cornbread.
  5. Stew can also be frozen for later use.
