Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whipped margarine
  • 1/4 cup Crisco
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream whipped margarine and Crisco until fluffy.
  2. Add sugar gradually and cream for 10 minutes.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Add flour and milk alternately, starting and ending with flour.
  5. Add vanilla and beat for 1 minute after the last addition.
  6. Bake at 325°F until golden brown.
  7. Cool the cakes and frost with White Cake Icing.
