Decadent toffee-nut candy combines crunchy pecans, rich caramelized sugar and butter, topped with smooth melting chocolate for a delightful treat suited for sharing or gifting.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 large milk chocolate bar

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9 x 9-inch square pan.
  2. Spread chopped pecans evenly in the prepared pan.
  3. In a saucepan, heat brown sugar and butter to boiling, stirring constantly.
  4. Boil over medium heat for 7 minutes.
  5. Pour the hot sugar-butter mixture over the pecans in the pan.
  6. Break the milk chocolate bar into pieces and place over the hot mixture so it melts.
  7. Allow the candy to chill until firm, then cut into squares.
