Ingredients

  • 1 lb. firm tofu
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 15 oz. can tomato puree
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. paprika

Instructions

  1. Coarsely grind the tofu in a food processor.
  2. Saute the minced garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground tofu to the garlic and cook briefly.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, tomato puree, and paprika.
  5. Heat on low for no more than 5 minutes, ensuring not to overcook to prevent moisture release.
  6. Serve on toasted wheat bread and garnish with black olives if desired.
