Ingredients

  • 3 cups tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • 1 package yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons basil
  • 2 Tbsp. basil

Instructions

  1. Measure the tomato juice and pour into a large bowl.
  2. Sprinkle yeast over the juice and stir to dissolve.
  3. Add honey to the mixture.
  4. Beat in one egg.
  5. Add the first 4 cups of flour, one cup at a time, stirring briskly after each addition.
  6. After adding flour, beat the mixture 100 strokes until very smooth.
  7. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 45 minutes in a warm place.
