Ingredients

  • 1 gal. ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 2 c. sweet pepper
  • 2 pods hot pepper or more
  • 3 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. pickling spice
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Mix together the chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, sweet peppers, hot peppers, salt, pickling spice, sugar, and vinegar in a large pot.
  2. Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour the hot pickle into sterilized jars while still hot, seal tightly, and let cool before storing.
