Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 to 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz) can chopped ripe olives
  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook and stir ground meat, chopped onion, and chopped green pepper until the meat is browned.
  2. Spoon off the drippings from the skillet.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, chili powder, and chopped ripe olives.
  4. Spread the mixture in a 9-inch pie pan.
  5. Prepare biscuit topping by mixing biscuit mix with milk and butter.
  6. Spread the biscuit batter over the meat mixture in the pie pan.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 20-25 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
