Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground chuck
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (15 oz) can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 (16 oz) can jalapeno beans
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2/3 cup picante sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • corn or tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Cook ground chuck with chopped onion until browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes, jalapeno beans, water, beef bouillon cubes, picante sauce, cumin, and oregano to the cooked meat and onions.
  3. Simmer the mixture, covered, for 10 minutes or until flavors are well blended.
  4. Serve hot, topped with crushed chips and cheese if desired.
