Turkey Mushroom Chowder
Ingredients
- 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chopped onion ⓘ
- 1/2 c. shredded carrot ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chopped celery ⓘ
- 1/4 c. butter ⓘ
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 crushed chicken bouillon cubes ⓘ
- 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. tarragon leaves ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 2 c. water ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. cubed, cooked turkey
- 1 2/3 c. undiluted Carnation evaporated milk ⓘ
Instructions
- Saute mushrooms, onion, carrot and celery in butter in saucepan.
- Stir in flour, bouillon cubes, tarragon, pepper, water and turkey.
- Cover and cook 10 minutes.
- Stir in evaporated milk. Heat to serving temperature.
- Makes about 5 cups.
