Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter
  • 3 cups herb seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 10 3/4 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 10 oz frozen peas
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons instant minced onion
  • 2 cups cooked chicken or turkey, coarsely chopped

Instructions

  1. Place margarine or butter in an 8-inch round baking dish. Cover loosely and microwave on High until melted, 45 to 60 seconds.
  2. Add stuffing and water; toss to coat the stuffing.
  3. Remove 1 cup of stuffing and set aside.
  4. Spread the remaining stuffing mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  5. In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, mix the condensed cream of mushroom soup, frozen peas, milk, and instant minced onion.
  6. Cover the casserole tightly and microwave on High for 3 minutes; stir.
  7. Cover and microwave until hot and bubbly, an additional 3 to 4 minutes.
  8. Stir in the cooked chicken or turkey.
  9. Spread the mixture over the stuffing in the baking dish.
  10. Sprinkle with the reserved stuffing.
  11. Microwave uncovered on High for 7 to 9 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
