Ingredients

  • 4 lb. chicken parts
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Cut and wash chicken, then drain on paper towel.
  2. Mix salt, black pepper, Old Bay seasoning, and parsley flakes in a plastic bag.
  3. Shake chicken parts in the seasoned flour until well coated.
  4. Preheat frying pan before adding Crisco oil.
  5. When Crisco oil is very hot, place chicken in the pan to fry.
  6. Turn chicken often to brown evenly on both sides.
  7. Cook until chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
