Ingredients

  • 2 c. raisins
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 2 c. quick oatmeal
  • 2 c. all-bran
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. honey
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Boil the raisins and water 5 minutes.
  2. Let cool.
  3. Mix by hand all other ingredients.
  4. Add cooled raisins. Spoon into greased and floured bread tins. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
  5. Makes 3 loaves.
