Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 3 large green peppers, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans beef broth
  • 2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans condensed tomato soup
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1 1/2 cup cooked rice

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the beef, peppers, and onions over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in beef broth, condensed tomato soup, crushed tomatoes, and mushrooms. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add cooked rice and heat thoroughly before serving.
