Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1 box powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Grease and flour a long cake pan.
  2. Sprinkle the pecans and coconut on the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Prepare the German chocolate cake mix as directed on the box and pour it into the pan over the pecans and coconut.
  4. Mix the melted butter, softened cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth, then spoon the mixture on top of the cake batter.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
