Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup oleo
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Sift dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt).
  2. Cream oleo and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; beat until well combined.
  4. Beat in half of the flour, then add the remaining flour to form a stiff dough.
  5. Stir in nuts.
  6. Divide dough into two rolls on a floured board, wrap in foil.
  7. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  8. Slice the chilled dough into cookies.
  9. Bake at 375°F until golden.
