Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 lb. beef shanks
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 3 stalks celery with tops, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, diced
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in the crock-pot.
  2. Stir well to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 12 to 24 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours.
