Ingredients

  • 2 lb. venison chopped meat
  • 1 1/3 cups breadcrumbs
  • 3 to 4 slices day-old bread crumbs
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup A.1. sauce
  • 3 slices bacon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except bacon.
  2. Mix well until thoroughly blended.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape.
  4. Top the loaf with 3 slices of bacon.
  5. Place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest briefly before serving with potatoes and vegetables.
