Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb venison ham
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • 1 onion
  • 1 Tbsp game seasoning

Instructions

  1. Trim all fat from the venison.
  2. Partially freeze the venison steak for easier slicing.
  3. Slice the venison into paper-thin strips.
  4. Seed the green bell pepper and slice into thin rounds.
  5. Heat margarine in a heavy skillet over medium heat.
  6. Add the green pepper slices and sliced onion to the skillet.
  7. Cook for 5 minutes or until the onion becomes transparent, stirring frequently.
  8. Remove the cooked peppers and onions to a heated plate using a slotted spoon.
  9. If necessary, heat additional butter in the skillet.
  10. Add the venison strips in a single layer to the skillet.
  11. Sprinkle the game seasoning over the venison.
  12. Cook the venison over medium-high heat for 1 minute, then turn the strips over.
  13. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  14. Add the cooked peppers and onions back into the skillet.
  15. Cook everything together for several minutes longer, stirring constantly, but do not overcook.
